Privacy Policy
Last updated: November 4, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Cass Trucking Inc ("Cass Trucking," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, discloses, retains, and protects personal information when you visit cass-trucking-inc.com (the "Site"), submit a driver application, or otherwise interact with us.
By using the Site you acknowledge this Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site or submit information to us.
01 Scope
This Policy applies to information collected through the Site, the driver application form, email communications related to the Site, and our social media pages to the extent we control them. It does not cover information handled under separate employment agreements, independent contractor agreements, or policies provided to you once you are hired or contracted.
02 Information we collect
Information you provide. When you submit a driver application we collect:
- Identity and contact details: full name, email address, phone number, city, and state.
- Professional details: CDL status/class, years of driving experience, endorsements (e.g. Hazmat, Tanker, Doubles/Triples), route preference, and available start date.
- Any additional information you choose to include in the free-text message field.
- Your consent confirmation and the time of submission.
Information collected automatically. When you visit the Site, our hosting and infrastructure providers may automatically record technical data such as IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, referring pages, pages viewed, and date/time of access. For spam and abuse prevention we store a one-way, non-reversible hash of the IP address used to submit an application rather than the raw address.
Information from others. If you proceed in our hiring process, we may receive information from third parties such as previous employers, motor vehicle record (MVR) providers, the FMCSA Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse, the Pre-Employment Screening Program (PSP), and background-check vendors — only with your separate authorization where required by law.
Sensitive information. Please do not include Social Security numbers, driver license numbers, medical information, or financial account details in the application form. We will request such information, if needed, through a separate secure process.
03 How we use information
- To review, evaluate, and respond to driver applications and contact you about employment or contracting opportunities.
- To send you a confirmation that your application was received and to notify our recruiting team.
- To verify qualifications as required by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations (FMCSRs), including 49 CFR Part 391.
- To operate, maintain, secure, and improve the Site, including preventing spam, fraud, and abuse (for example, by rate-limiting submissions).
- To comply with legal obligations, respond to lawful requests, and establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.
- For other purposes disclosed to you at the time of collection or with your consent.
06 Data retention
We keep application information for as long as needed to evaluate your application and for the period required by law. Under federal regulations, records relating to driver qualification may need to be retained for up to three years or longer. Applications from candidates who are not hired are generally retained for up to three years for recordkeeping and future opportunities, then deleted or anonymized, unless a longer period is required to resolve disputes or comply with law.
07 Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls that restrict application data to authorized personnel, and database-level security rules. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If a data breach affects your personal information, we will notify you as required by applicable state law.
08 Your privacy rights
Depending on your state of residence (for example California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Texas, Oregon, and other states with consumer privacy laws), you may have the right to:
- Know and access the personal information we hold about you.
- Correct inaccurate personal information.
- Request deletion of your personal information, subject to legal exceptions (such as record-keeping required by DOT regulations).
- Obtain a portable copy of your information.
- Opt out of sale, sharing, targeted advertising, or profiling (we do not engage in these).
- Limit the use of sensitive personal information.
- Not be discriminated or retaliated against for exercising your rights.
- Appeal our decision on your request.
To make a request, contact us using the details below. We will verify your identity before acting and respond within the time required by law (generally 45 days). You may use an authorized agent with written permission.
California residents: in the past 12 months we have collected identifiers, professional or employment-related information, and internet activity information, for the purposes and with the categories of recipients described above. We do not sell or share personal information, and we do not knowingly sell or share the information of consumers under 16.
09 Communications
We send transactional emails (such as application confirmations) related to your request. If you provide a phone number, we may call or text you about your application; standard message and data rates may apply. You can ask us to stop non-essential contact at any time by replying STOP to texts or contacting us.
10 Children's privacy
The Site is intended for adults. Interstate commercial drivers must be at least 21 years old. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has submitted information, contact us and we will delete it.
